The tour and zipline ride have the ability to operate 10 months out of the year.

Progress on the park's new canopy and zipline course is more visible than ever as crews construct the bridges and staircases. Now that the poles to support the ropes course are in place, the "art of building a zipline course" is on display as crews construct the finer points of the course.

The work was briefly delayed recently, as two 75-foot poles had to be moved and replaced 20 feet from their original placement to ensure the angle of the course remained the same throughout.Earlier this week, the park began taking reservations for the canopy tour and team builder challenge.

The canopy tour features seven dual ziplines, as well as four suspension bridges, six ziplines less than 1,000 feet and eight ziplines 1,000 feet or longer. Additionally, a 2,400-foot zipline ride will be constructed, the longest such ride in the state, as well as a low ropes challenge course offering 11 features that will primarily be used for team building exercises. The project will cost $562,000. Park officials hope the attraction will bring up to 15,000 people to the park annually and have been marketing the course within a three-hour radius. The tour and zipline ride have the ability to operate 10 months out of the year, weather permitting.
