A new zip-wire ride at a disused quarry is set to give thrill-seekers a bird's eye view of the surrounding countryside.

As long as they don't mind pelting through it at speeds of up to 75mph. The former quarry, the largest in the world of its kind until 1950, has been transformed into a mile-long zipline ride that whisks adrenaline seekers from 700ft to ground level. Using a special zinc-coated wire from Germany that took eight months to build, the ride has been tested at speeds of up to 100mph.
