Adventure Job: Ropes Course Specialist.
The Camp features an on-site climbing wall and ropes course design including both high and low elements integrated into our beautiful forest setting. In addition, we take trips to an internationally-renowned rock climbing site, and to an indoor climbing gym. Safety is paramount.
Our instructors may find themselves instructing upside-down twenty feet in the air or teaching a camper how to secure their harness with their feet flat on the ground. Our instructors spend time teaching the basics of trust and teamwork on our low ropes elements before moving up to more advanced and challenging high ropes elements where safety is essential. Technical proficiency in belaying and knot tying, and a strong climbing background are required. Personnel must be comfortable making rescues at height. Equally important are leadership qualities and the ability to encourage and motivate campers to challenge themselves.
