High Ropes in Taunton this summer.
The High Ropes Course construction will provide two aerial experiences, one five metres off the ground lasting 20 minutes and a larger 40-minute one at nine metres, with participants moving from point to point via a series of ropes and ‘stepping stones’ in mid air. Most of the visitors will be aged five to 16 and will be secured by a harness to an overhead steel rail continues belay system.
Fun seekers will this summer be swinging round a £300,000 mid-air trekking course being built in Taunton.Operators Tone Leisure aren’t hanging around - after securing a loan from Taunton Deane Council on Tuesday, they’re sending in construction workers on Monday. And they believe the High Ropes course, opening over the top of the mini golf course on Friday, June 1, will attract 12,000 adventurers in its first year, and 22,000 by year three.
