Adventure Resort in Fayettewill try to break the Guinness World Record for ziplining while on the clock. The current record has stood since May 2nd, 2010 when 122 people total covered a rope slide in one hour at Waldklettergarten in Germany. Outfitter German Naturkonzepte lead that record attempt. A part of the zipline course, which was refurbished in 2011, will be used for the World Record event.
The record challenge is open to anyone who is at least 18 years old, between 125 and 250 pounds and able to walk a quarter mile, at the minimum. Those who participate will get a certificate for a free zipline course run at the Resort on a return trip.
