The annual service includes a complete functional inspection, maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and if necessary, an adjustment of the Bowden cable of the Smart Belay.
We recommend that you additionally have the required annual PPE inspection of your Smart Belay and all other system components (e.g. the Conecto Swivel etc.) carried out as part of this annual service.
Every Smart Belay sent to us will be checked upon receipt. If there is any damage to your Smart Belay that is not covered by the warranty, or that is caused by natural wear and tear or improper use, we will contact you to discuss the repair or replacement of parts.

With a decade of experience and the many improvements of the Edelrid Smart Belay over these years, we are increasing the recommendation for the annual service for all devices that now receive the annual service 2019/20 to a 3 year service interval.

Procedure for the annual service 2019/2020

- We will send you a questionnaire and form to complete. We request your submission asap in order to be able to return your equipment in readiness for the beginning of the new season**.
- Please send us your Smart Belays postage paid.

With regard to your documentation, you will receive proof of the annual service after completion of the service period at the end of April.
