555 meters temporarily Zipwire for Folkorum Festival at Kulturinsel Germany

With a very unusual construction time of three days, the specialists of Skywalker Adventure Builders have given the second largest festival in Germany a unique attraction.

The highlight of the event and spectacular attraction was the 555-meter-long zipline from the high-tree platform across the big field right up to Polish border. Originally, the Flying-Fox was planned to go over the border, but without an intermediate pillar the descent from starting point of the zipline was just is not enough, so that the route had to be shortened, but this has done nothing to the fun.

To get the perfect view of the site of the second largest festival to folk and world music in Germany, Kulturinsel boss Jürgen Bergmann came up with a crazy new attraction, says Marika Vetter, responsible for marketing of the amusement park. This year the brave and fearless can enjoy the 555 meters from the tree house hotel - 18 meters high in the trees – almost to the Polish border in only 75 seconds.

Free ride for nude sliders - the maddest border crossing in the world at the best festival site of Germany! With this somewhat unusual call, the culture event had invited the visitors. Kulturinsel boss Jürgen Bergmann is excited and thrilled about the new attraction. The Temporary zipline was his idea, and the announcement that nude riders run free, also was his idea. "The fact that someone actually would do the ride in adam’s costume, I would not have thought," he says.

Three days long, the experts at Skywalker worked on the zipwire, the evening before the opening, Bergmann himself was the first to try out the ride. He did not came to the border: The descent was not enough. So the team at Skywalker had to work overnight to reposition and adjust the zipwire. The new target point was set just before the Polish border, 555 meters from the starting point high in the trees. Shortly after twelve clock on Saturday afternoon, it was so far: The first guests were allowed to zip. Depending on the weight they needed 75 to 120 seconds for the exclusive 555-meter zip course.

The temporary Flying Fox was the highlight at the 19th Folklorum 2012 - just as the program with more than 400 artists on 13 stages, the funny play the Polish border and all the fire, where the visitors could warm at night.
